Our Story - Jimmy
Hi,
My name is Chris and our 8 year old daughter Karen Lee has been nagging us for a year to buy her a dog, so we went hunting for a likely pet. We came across the Staffyrescue web page by accident and before long went to visit Nina who showed us the wonderful dogs they had for adoption.
With so many beautiful pets to chose from we decided to let the dogs themselves decide and after playing for about an hour with four different dogs "Jimmy" a two year old American Staffordshire brindle cross just sat at our feet and looked with such love at us that we could not leave without him.
We have had Jimmy now for seven months, he sleeps every night at the bottom of my daughters bed, comes for a cuddle at any time and is always ready for a walk and to chase the ball. Recently we have noticed that he is protective of our daughter making her walk away from the roadside, and running to her side immediately if she falls down. He loves people and has trained our non-doggy neighbours to give him a pat each day thru the gate.
We cannot thank Staffyrescue enough for helping us to find the most loving, faithful and affectionate pet ever.
